A Statement Regarding COVID-19

The Mississippi Care, LLC is currently keeping track of local government and CDC recommendations regarding COVID-19. 


Currently all clinics are operating on their usual schedule, however, screening and cleaning protocols are being put into place to help decrease the risk of disease transmission in all of our locations, and we are changing the way we do some appointments moving forward.


Video conferencing from home will now be done for individuals who do not require an in-person office visit (for either urine screening or injections). Please click here for more information on how to download zoom for video conferencing. Our staff will be calling patients ahead of time so that they can be prepared for their visit, and they should expect a call or text from their provider around their scheduled appointment time, with instructions to log in. Patients that need to come into the office for schedule screenings or injections may also utilize zoom as soon as that portion of their visit is completed.

​We are also implementing a "No Contact" protocol  for those that require in-person office visits.

As always, the safety and well-being of our patients and staff are top priority and we will continue to update as the situation changes. Our goal is to ensure that care is not interrupted in the event of a county or state-wide containment situation. 


We have enacted the following  "No Contact" protocol to reassure patients and significantly minimize the risk of transmission of COVID-19:


1) Allowing access without a patient needing to touch door knobs, staff members or materials. 

2) Low-crowd waiting environment, with option to wait in vehicle until your provider is ready to see you

3) Cleaning bathrooms between each use.


The symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to other respiratory illnesses like the flu including cough, fever, and shortness of breath. 


We ask that if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, to please call the office to schedule a phone visit instead of coming in, unless your visits require a urine sample.  


In addition, please follow these CDC recommended steps to protect yourself and your family:


Practice everyday preventive actions now. Remind everyone in your household of the importance of practicing everyday preventive actions that can help prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  • Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.

  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue.

  • Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects daily 

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds,      


Individuals at Higher Risk for acquiring COVID-19 include

  • Elderly

  • Individuals with Heart Disease, Diabetes, Lung Disease, Current or Recent Pregnancy, Chronic Liver Disease, Compromised Immune System, Intellectual Disability or Neurodevelopmental Disorders (spina bifida, seizure disorder etc).

We will continue to serve individuals at higher risk by telephone and virtual visits for medication management and therapy services.


Take care of the emotional health of your household members. Outbreaks can be stressful for adults and children. Children respond differently to stressful situations than adults. Talk with your children about the outbreak, try to stay calm, and reassure them that they are safe.

Be calm and thoughtful. Panic interferes with logical thinking and mood stability.  Be prayerful and use effective safety precautions.

Due to COVID19 precautions, we are currently utilizing Video visits instead of in-person visits, except for those individuals who require in-

person care.
